They will receive 40% of the project cost as a subsidy, but working capital is not included. This scheme is for startup businessmen interested in setting up a coir manufacturing unit.

The Coir Board, under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, promotes jute products. They have started the Coir Entrepreneur Scheme to support citizens who want to open their own jute business. Applicants need to pay 5% of the project cost, while banks provide a 55% loan with a seven-year repayment period. The Coir Board gives a 40% subsidy. 

Criteria for Availing Benefits
