The government has successfully provided benefits to around 7500 citizens of the state. The health care departments are categorised according to the districts. Under Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam Scheme, the people have to visit the health care department of their district to enjoy the facilities.

Unique ID Will Be Provided To The Beneficiaries

Under Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam Scheme, the government will provide a unique ID to each and every beneficiary of this scheme. This announcement was made by the health minister MA Subramaniam on 09 September 2021. The health id will be used in keeping the digital record of the beneficiaries.

Successful Progress In Just 20 Days

Around 2 lakh Beneficiaries got themselves registered under the Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam Scheme. This achievement has been made in only 20 days. According to the department, the maximum number of beneficiaries are from the Ramanathapuram district with around 13,586 getting benefits.

Seven Districts Are Covered

The government has launched this scheme for the welfare of the citizens of Tamil Nadu. Under Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam Scheme, the government has covered 7 districts. The citizens should belong to these 7 districts to get the benefits of this scheme.

25,671 People Are Covered In 3 Days

This scheme has successfully covered around 25,671 people in just 3 Days. Out of these patients, 11,364 patients get medicines delivered to their homes and 7,497 patients are found with diabetes. Around 5,217 people are covered under Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam Scheme, who are suffering from both hypertension and Diabetes.

The Government has started the Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam Scheme in the seven districts of the state. The government has allocated a budget of Rs. 258 crores for the seven districts. The budget covers 1 lakh for the people from 30 lakh families.
