Objectives Of Assam Ration Card List
One of the primary objectives of launching the Ration Card List Assam is to provide some sort of help and support among the poor family groups who can’t purchase food items or products to sustain their livelihood. - Orange Ration Card: – Those applicants who fall above the poverty line can apply for the Orange Ration Card. But the income fixed by the government for providing orange ration cards may be varying from one state to another state. Maybe the benefit of this card will also differ from one state to another.
- Yellow Ration Card: – Yellow Ration Card is only accessible to those applicants who fall below the poverty line category. Each state has different kinds of parameters while considering the annual family income of the cardholder which may vary from one state to another.
- Blue Ration Card: – Those family groups having an annual income equal to Rs. 6400/- can apply for the blue ration card and falls below the poverty line. - White Ration Card: – This card is not used for availing the subsidy facility for purchasing food grains rather than it is used by those family groups who are financially rich. For them, this card serves as an Identity as well as address proof. No subsidy rate is provided on this card.

National Food Security Act (NFSA)
The government of India launched the NFSA (National Food Security Act) on 10th September 2013. This act has been specially launched for providing benefits to the poor section of the state of Assam. A target of covering 55 lakhs of households has been covered. Rs. 5 kg for rice will be provided.
