General Guidelines During Election Process
General guidelines to be followed during the entire election procedure are as follows: –
- Every person shall wear a face mask during the casting vote.
- Thermal scanning of all the persons shall be done.
- Sanitizer, soap, and water should be made available.
- Social distance must be maintained between the 2 persons.
- An adequate no. of vehicles shall be mobilized for the movement of polling personnel, and security personnel.
- Gloves shall be made available to each official handling EVM or VVPAT.
Counting Of Votes
In a counting hall, counting tables must not exceed 7. Additional Assistant Returning Officers (AARO) will be hired for the counting process. CUs or VVPATs must be sanitized before placing voters on the counting tables. On a large screen, displaying of result should be done. The vote-counting centres must be disinfected before, after, and during the counting process.
