The Government of Kerala has released the MEDISEP Hospital List so that the applicants who have applied online for this scheme will be able to check the list of eligible and registered hospitals by which they can admit themselves for getting treatments for those diseases that have been listed. There are around 1920 diseases that have been covered for which the patient can seek treatment.

MEDISEP Hospital List

The Government of Kerala has launched an online service named MEDISEP Hospital List for government workers and retirees. It shows the hospitals covered by the MEDISEP program. The program gives cashless health insurance coverage to these employees and covers about 1920 diseases. It’s a helpful way for them to find hospitals and get the medical care they need.

Now government employees as well as pensioners will be able to avail of health insurance after checking the MEDISEP Hospital List. The scheme covers various hospitals in the state. The beneficiaries can check the list of these hospitals online through the MEDISEP Hospital List facility. By contributing Rs 500 per month, beneficiaries can receive medical insurance coverage.

Objectives Of MEDISEP Hospital List

The major objective of launching the MEDISEP Hospital List by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan aims to provide comprehensive medical insurance coverage to both current and retired state employees and pensioners in Kerala. This will also facilitate easy access to information for beneficiaries. This will provide a variety of options for their medical needs.

Another objective of launching the MEDISEP Hospital List is to provide convenience by which the beneficiaries can check the names of hospitals that are covered under this health insurance program. This ensures that beneficiaries are aware of the hospitals they can avail services from, making the process simpler for them. This will also include a wide range of hospitals across the state.

Beneficiary Category

Only those applicants or candidates will be able to check the list of hospitals registered under this scheme that have attained the beneficiary category. The beneficiaries will need to possess the beneficiary category for getting the benefit of this scheme. The benefit of this scheme will be provided to residents of Kerala who have previously applied for the MEDISEP Scheme.

MEDISEP Hospital List Eligible Beneficiaries

The list of eligible beneficiaries is as follows:-

• All serving employees of the state government
• Employees of the High Court
• Newly recruited employees and their family
• Part-time contingent employees
• Part-time teachers
• Non-teaching staff of aided schools and colleges and their family
• Employees of Local Self-Government (LSG) Institutions and Universities in the Kerala State
• All State Pensioners and their spouses and family
• Pensioners of Local Self-Government (LSG) Institutions and Universities in the Kerala State
• All Civil Services officers serving the Government of Kerala on an optional basis
• Pensioners of Local Bodies Panchayats Municipalities, Cooperation
• The directly recruited personal staff of the Chief Minister, Ministers, Leader of the Opposition and Chief Whip, Speaker, Deputy Speaker, and the Chairmen of the Financial Committees
• The directly recruited personal staff pensioners/family pensioners who receive Grants In-Aid from the State Government and Local Self-Government Institutions
• Dependents of employees and pensioners

Ineligible Beneficiaries

The below-mentioned beneficiaries will be considered ineligible to apply online:-

• Employees and retirees of organizations like KSEB, KSRTC, and KWA are excluded from the MEDISEP Scheme.
• The scheme also does not apply to employees and retirees of the Kerala State Information Commission and Human Rights Commission.

Beneficiary Limitation

Only that number of beneficiaries will be able to get the hospitalization services as well as life insurance after getting selection which has been fixed in the form of a beneficiary target. A total of 3 crores applicants will be able to get or receive hospitalization services and treatments for the diseases that have been covered. They are also given life insurance and treatment packages.
